Instead of dubbing, films are subtitled, which means that if you’re watching an English-speaking movie, you’ll hear the original dialogues, with Swedish subtitles at the bottom of the movie screen. This is great news for non-Swedish speaking visitors, as they can comfortably watch and understand all English speaking movies without any language barriers.

Note that for some movies – primarily those catered to a younger audience – Stockholm cinemas often offer both dubbed and subtitled versions. Typically, an earlier screening during the day features the dubbed version in Swedish, while a later screening will use the original language accompanied by Swedish subtitles.
