How was your first impression?
The hotel is very central, but it still feels calm when you walk in. The lobby is spacious and quiet. Instead of a traditional reception desk, check-in is handled at a small table where staff greet you directly; a deliberate, informal touch that feels more personal. You also need to tap your key card to access the elevators, which we don’t see that often, but it didn’t bother us.
Tell us about the scene and the crowd. What’s the vibe like?
Overall, it was pretty calm. The crowd felt mixed, and the lobby never felt busy or “scene-y” since people were spread out. Don’t come here expecting a lively buzz, it’s more of a chilled, relaxed kind of place.
Let’s cut to the chase: how’s the room? Cozy, chic, or just meh?
We stayed in a Twin Executive Oak room on the third floor, which comes in at 24 square metres and is one their largest room categories, before the suites. The room felt spacious, and by Stockholm standards it’s one of the larger hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. (The only one that felt bigger was Blique by Nobis, but that was a studio-style room.) This one felt properly roomy in a way that’s rare in the city.
Be honest: is the bathroom more “spa goals” or “avoid eye contact with the mirror”?
The bathroom was clean and totally fine overall, with one big highlight: the sink area. The sink and counter are large, with plenty of space for toiletries without feeling cramped.
But a few design choices made it less practical than it could be. There were no towel hooks or rails under the sink, which felt like a missed opportunity. Instead, you end up placing towels on the counter or reaching behind you to hang them above the toilet.
The shower was okay, but not perfect. It only had a handheld shower head (no rain shower), and the glass divider didn’t go all the way down to the floor, so water can easily splash into the toilet area. Not a disaster, but it does mean the floor gets unnecessarily wet.
Our main complaint, though, was the bathroom door: it was partly frosted glass with clear stripes. We’ve seen this “hotel trend” before and we still don’t love it. We get that it might be for light, but we’d much rather have a normal solid door for privacy.
Let’s talk perks: minibar treasures, toiletries you want to hoard – any keepers?
Nothing special here. The minibar was pretty standard, and the toiletries were basic, with no extra little surprises.
Did breakfast hit the spot?
Breakfast was good, but not huge. The selection is absolutely fine, and you’ll find the usual Swedish hotel breakfast setup: cold cuts, bread, some warm options, yoghurt and dairy (plus some vegan options), juice, coffee, and something sweet.
If you really care about a big, “wow” breakfast spread, you might find it a bit on the smaller side. But it didn’t feel disappointing, just more “solid and enough” than “over-the-top.”
What’s the bonus round here? Think gyms, pools, spa magic, or even parking perks – anything worth a shout-out?
They promote their spa a lot, and it’s open both to hotel guests and members. We didn’t try it ourselves, but if spa access matters to you, it’s something to look into.
The verdict: should we book it? And why – or why not?
For us, it’s a yes. The room size alone makes it stand out, and everything felt comfortable and easy. The hotel is best suited for travellers who want a calm, central base without the boutique-hotel price tag.
A couple of things to be aware of: storage was a bit limited (we missed having proper drawers), and the view from our room wasn’t anything special, just a building across the street. That said, it didn’t feel uncomfortably close, so it wasn’t a problem.
The bathroom had a great sink area, but the missing towel hooks and the partly frosted glass door were small frustrations, especially at night if one person is sleeping and the bathroom light turns the room brighter than you’d want. If those things don’t bother you, it’s a really pleasant, practical place to stay in a great location.
